My 2022 goals…and where I fell short.

In a minute, I'll share the goals I had for last year.

I actually have a picture of them below.

(and no, I didn't accomplish all of them!)

But it was a great year… which was GREATLY influenced by a process I think will really help you in 2023.

I’ve decided to share a lot of what I learned on Saturday, January 14th at 1:00pm during an exclusive, 60-min workshop. (more on this below)

So here's the backstory...

Years ago, I set my goals with "good intentions” and because it was something that I thought I wanted at the time.  The problem is, I would only make "marginal" progress.  And it was really frustrating.

You know what I'm talking about, right?

I would make a "goal list."  And as I was making the list, everything seemed within reach (as long as I "buckled down" and followed the plan).

BTW - I have no idea where I thought this magical surge of "discipline" would come from to accomplish everything I had on my list!

I don't know about you, but for me, without fail, "life" would seem to get in the way.

“Tomorrow” would become “on Monday.”  “Monday” would soon become “tomorrow” again.

And now with a business to run, there’s a whole lot more "life" to manage... you know what I'm saying?

I'd get to the last couple of months each year and realize that there was no possible way I would be able to reach all of my goals.

I'd get discouraged.

I'd be grumpy.

I definitely wasn't motivated to "do more".

And worst of all, it had me dreading the upcoming year. I'd look at what I wanted to do and what I actually accomplished. And there was a HUGE gap.

It felt like I was falling further and further behind where I wanted to be.

Not good.

And it wasn't particularly good for an entrepreneur whose livelihood depended on reaching my goals.

So a few years ago I had a unique opportunity.

I was introduced to a new approach for setting and ACHIEVING goals that matter.

Of course, things didn't "instantly" change.

But here's what I do know...

Every year since I've followed this process and my results have gotten better and better.

And now that our members are using this same process, they’re reaching their goals more and more consistently and finally checking them off of their list.

And as you'll hear, "discipline" (or lack thereof) had little to do with why I wasn't getting results.

It’s not about “willpower” either.

It had EVERYTHING to do with an outdated process.

One of the many "tricks" that I learned was to keep my goals front and center.

Which leads me to this picture that served as my wallpaper for my phone:

Looking at that list, you'll notice a mix of both personal and business goals.

And having this on my phone meant that I would see this EVERY SINGLE TIME I would pick up my phone.

It made them real.

So how did I do in 2022?

Of the 7 goals I set for myself, I accomplished 5 of them.

One of those 2 goals that I didn’t achieve became obsolete part way through the year (which as I learned, is totally fine).

Another goal I am VERY close to hitting but will slightly miss.

Overall, I'm really pleased. It's been a great year and I’ve seen some MAJOR breakthroughs.

And most importantly, I was able to do this while deepening my relationship with my friends, family, clients, and the people that mean most to me.

Here's the takeaway...

Compared to previous years, I have SO much more momentum going into the New Year.

That leads to more confidence, more momentum.

Which leads to more growth and better results.

It's the circle of awesomeness :)

And each year, it gets better.

And I want that for you.

That's why I'm holding this exclusive workshop on January 14th at 1:00pm at Max Fitness called: “How to Set Goals That Stick: 5 Proven Goal Setting Strategies to Get What You Want

The only “bad news” is that after Friday 1/13 or the seats are filled, the workshop will no longer be available.

This one hour has the potential to change EVERYTHING for you in 2023…so be sure to secure your spot and make it your best year ever!!
