Imagine you’re on the fast track to a world-class sports career – and then it’s literally ripped away from you.

Not only that, but your body is forever changed and you are just barely a teenager!

That’s what happened to Bethany Hamilton, who at the age of 13 had her arm bitten off by a shark while she was surfing in Hawaii. In the attack, she lost over 60% of the blood in her body.

She went through several surgeries to try to repair the damage.

But get this … just ONE MONTH after losing her arm she was back surfing again, hitting the pro circuit by the age of 17.

“I’ve learned life is a lot like surfing. When you get caught in the impact zone, you need to get right back up, because you never know what's over the next wave... and if you have faith, anything is possible, anything at all.” – Bethany Hamilton

Talk about someone who won’t let ANYTHING stop her from reaching her goals and doing what she loves.

I love stories like this because it reminds me how important it is to never let ANYTHING get in your way.

Bethany even sponsors several inspirational programs, including those for young amputees. There’s “Beautifully Flawed” for young women and “The Forge” for young men.

“I could never have embraced these many people with two arms.” – Bethany Hamilton.

Think about your own goals right now.

How focused are you on them? Have you made them a priority?

Are they SO important to you, that you won’t let ANYTHING stop you and get in your way?

We’ve all got obstacles, challenges, and roadblocks in our lives - it’s your belief in yourself that determines the outcome.
