Angela Kraber is our General Manager, and teaches Max30, MaxHIIT, TRX, and is also one of our NASM certified personal trainers. While Angela has always been active in fitness and sports, she didn't find her true passion for teaching until her first daughter was born. She discovered Stroller Strides, a fitness class for moms with their babies, and fell in love. In 2007 she started a Stroller Strides franchise here in Huntington Beach and has been running it for the past 7 1/2 years! From Stroller Strides grew a running club training for races from 5k's to marathons; the start of Body Back, numerous online challenges, and the development of a 6 week Shred body transformation program. While her main focus is women, especially post partum, Angela works with and has trained clients of all ages, sizes, and gender. Angela is extremely excited about this next step with Max Fitness and can't wait to continue to push and inspire her clients to achieve goals they never imagined were possible. When Angela isn't at Max Fitness, she loves playing and exploring with her daughters, 7 year old Meadow and 5 year old Emma, or running with her favorite mother runners, Team Big Girl Panties.more
My name is Chelyse Myers and I'm a certified PiYo, Turbo Kick and AFAA Group Fitness Instructor here in Huntington Beach. I found my love for fitness through Stroller Strides, Moms on the Run Running Club and finally fell in love with PiYo and other group formats. For a busy mom who once had time for yoga, PiYo delivered me the perfect combination of strength, sculpting, cardio, stretching, and great music! I was hooked. I'm a wife and a mom of two active boys, so staying in shape and healthy is important! I've always loved helping others' reach their potential which is why I'm also an LCSW and worked as a child and family therapist before taking a break to become a mom. Hi my name is Nina and I am a stay at home mom. I have 4 children....Tyler 16yrs, Dallen 8yrs, Delaney 3yrs old & Joshua 16yrs old. I love kids!! I have been married to my husband for 9yrs. We also have a dog named Sadie and a miniature Norwegian rabbit named Timmy. I love to cook and be outdoor's. Hi, my name is McKayla King-Mason and I am currently a student at California State University of Long Beach. I'm majoring in Business Management & Operations and Supply Chain Management. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach and love exercising at the gym, hiking the wetlands, and cooking with new, healthy recipes. I grew up as an only child which makes me truly enjoy and appreciate the time I get to spend working with younger children. Jamie Ankeny is certified PiYo instructor at Max Fitness. She started dancing ballet when she was six years old and began teaching ballet through the HB parks and recreation program in 2004. She has her Masters degree in Communicative Disorders. After becoming a mom to Carter (6 years), and Taylor (2 years). She first joined Max Fitness HB as a member. After her son was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2015 and having to take an extended leave of absence from work, took her first PiYo class. She fell in love with the format and its amazing blend of stretch, strength, sculpting, and cardio, perfectly paired to fantastic music. Her son's diagnosis inspired her to not leave passion for something to do "someday" but to put her passion into action and become certified in PiYo. She loves being able to share her passion for this amazing format with others and it shows in her class.more
Ruben’s goal and mission is to help others reach their full fitness potential and live a healthier lifestyle. Ruben completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness from CSULB. He specializes in Small Group Personal Training, Functional training, Sports conditioning, and Group Exercise. Ruben is a former College athlete and has been coaching Soccer at the competitive level for over 9 years. He was also one of the youngest Head Soccer Coach in the Nation with his own Varsity Soccer Program, which won league in 2016. With his coaching and sports performance background, Ruben can take any athlete to the next level making them faster and stronger. Ruben is also a group fitness instructor for WERQ Dance Fitness. WERQ is a fun dance fitness workout class based on pop, rock, and hip-hop music.
Ruben has been a Physical education teacher for 2 years. My mission and goal for students is to revolutionize the physical education system. I bring health, fitness, sports, and science of the body to teach students how to live a healthy lifestyle. I have experience with all types of Fitness training and is always ready to help anyone reach their fitness needs
Stephanie became hooked on yoga in 2012 when she realized how much peace, playfulness and release the practice consistently brought her. With a deep appreciation for the balance and positivity that yoga was adding to her life, Stephanie was inspired to share this gift with others and completed her 200 hour teacher training at Corepower Yoga. Having also earned a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in Liberal Studies, specializing in Children's literature, she's always known that she was made to help children grow and learn. So she blended her love of life, people, practicing yoga, kids and creativity to establish a teaching style of youthfulness and hope.
Stephanie has been certified in the practice of Yin/Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa and Children's yoga through Yoga Fit and Corepower, but is continuously educating herself in all aspects of yoga and life. Stephanie also guides adults and seeks to help them thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, with the hopes that they step off the mat feeling rejuvenated, balanced and reset.
Off the mat you can find Stephanie goofing off with her son, gardening, creating with any kind of knick knacks she can get her hands on, cooking, hiking and spending every moment she can with her family. Yoga has given her a deep understanding of the important balance between mind and body, breath and flow, and strength and flexibility, and she strives to take the disciplines she learns on the mat and incorporate them into her everyday life. Teaching yoga has given Stephanie a purpose in life and has cracked her heart and smile wide open.more
